I grew up in Rockford, Illinois and went to school at Eastern Illinois University. After teaching a few years in Champaign-Urbana, I moved to New Orleans in 1999 and taught fifth grade at Lusher Elementary for many years under the name Ms. Palmer. In 2005, my husband and I moved to Atlanta, GA; there I was a Science Specialist for grades K-5 at Bethesda Elementary and served on a K-12 science staff development team for Gwinnett County Public Schools. After missing New Orleans dearly, we made the best decision ever to move home in 2009. This will be my eleventh year as the seventh grade science teacher at the Lusher Fortier Campus.
